Alona Reef features a gentle slope and shallow topography that make it an incredibly relaxing night environment. After dark, hunting lionfish use the beams of your dive lights to help them corner small glassfish, while large reef crabs and hermit crabs march across the sandy flats. It is a fantastic site for new night divers to build their confidence.
Crystal Coast is characterized by beautiful coral outcroppings and small vertical sections that look spectacular under artificial light. This site is highly dynamic at night, frequently hosting foraging moray eels swimming completely out of their holes, hunting octopus changing textures in real-time, and sleeping parrotfish resting safely inside their protective mucous cocoons.
Kalipayan is our top recommendation for macro enthusiasts and underwater photographers. The calm water and lack of current allow you to hover effortlessly close to the reef to spot exotic nudibranchs, transparent cleaner shrimp, and sleeping turtle species. The pitch-black backdrop provides an incredible natural contrast for crisp, high-quality macro photography.
Diving in a low-visibility environment requires a higher level of organization, local knowledge, and safety protocols. To guarantee a stress-free adventure, all our night safaris are conducted in
strict small groups led by expert local guides who know every crevice of Panglao’s reefs.
Our team takes care of all the logistics, providing thorough pre-dive briefings covering light communication signals, buddy contact procedures, and navigation markers. While our night trips focus on the coastal reef slopes, they offer a completely different atmosphere than our daytime
deep wall excursions, such as the famous vertical drop-offs found during a day trip or the wild, remote current drifts on our open-ocean tours.
Divers fascinated by the silent atmosphere of night diving often fall in love with the peaceful full- day expeditions to Pamilacan Island Diving to experience raw, wild marine life during the day.
